The Role
As Financial Controller you will play a key role in shaping budgets, forecasts and multi year strategic plans alongside partnering with senior stakeholders across the business, providing challenge, insight and commercial support.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the month end process and ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting
- Managing the budgeting and forecasting process, including departmental budgets and longer term strategic planning
- Partnering with senior leaders to understand performance, challenge assumptions and provide clarity around opportunities and risks
- Translating financial information into meaningful commercial insight to support decision making
- Managing cash flow forecasting and planning
- Providing analysis of sales performance and reviewing financial models
- Maintaining financial models to support future plans
- Leading the year-end audit process and managing relationships with external auditors
- Acting as a key escalation point for finance systems and reporting
- Leading transformation, automation and continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function
About You
Alongside technical capability, you will be commercially minded, confident working with senior stakeholders and able to communicate financial information in a clear and meaningful way.
You will ideally bring:
- Financial accounting and management reporting experience
- Experience of budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- A track record of effective business partnering
- The confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders
- A proactive approach to improving processes, systems and ways of working
