Job Description
Expanding group of companies based in Harrogate is seeking a highly skilled and commercially astute CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified Financial Controller to join its senior leadership team. This dynamic organization has a growing portfolio of businesses across multiple sectors and is predicting further expansion over the next three to five years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across the group.
- Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and internal controls.
- Provide strategic financial insight to support investment decisions and business growth.
- Manage and develop a small finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
- Drive automation and system improvements to enhance reporting and efficiency.
Ideally you will be able to demonstrate:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally within a group or multi-entity environment.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and commercial acumen.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
