Job Description
A successful and growing organisation based in Leeds currently requires a Commercial Reporting Accountant who can bring clarity, control, and commercial value to their financial reporting.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be at the heart of financial decision-making, working closely with senior stakeholders to support growth, improve processes, and deliver high-quality reporting.
Duties & responsibilities include:
- Producing weekly and monthly performance reports that help drive business decisions.
- Preparing accurate management accounts with full documentation—on time, every time.
- Leading budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring clarity and consistency.
- Supporting commercial teams with financial analysis and evaluating new opportunities.
- Strengthening internal controls and improving reporting systems.
- Collaborating with auditors and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
- Building strong relationships across departments to improve financial understanding.
- Challenging performance and contributing to strategic conversations.
Ideally you be able to demonstrate:
- Recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
- Strong Excel and systems skills—Sage experience is a bonus.
- Commercial awareness and the confidence to challenge and influence.
- Relevant sector such as FMCG, retail, manufacturing, or similar. Ideal but not essential.
- A proactive mindset and a passion for improving processes.
