I am delighted to be working with a well established accountancy practice in Doncaster in their search for a Senior Accountant following a period of sustained growth. Recent growth means they are now expanding their team to support sustained growth and increasing demand across South Yorkshire. In this role you will work closely with Managers and Directors, responsible for high quality accounts work and taking ownership of a varied client portfolio – supporting those clients with financial reporting requirements. This is a great opportunity for an experienced practice accountant who is looking for a role with strong client exposure, progression and the opportunity to take on more responsibility within a supportive team.
Duties/responsibilities:
- Preparing year-end accounts for a range of businesses and clients
- Producing management accounts and financial information
- Preparing VAT returns and supporting clients with their compliance requirements
- Managing your own portfolio of clients and acting as a key point of contact
- Providing clients with advice and support beyond the preparation of accounts
- Assisting with personal and corporation tax requirements
- Reviewing work and supporting more junior members of the team
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and add value to clients
Who you are:
- Nearly/newly qualified (ACA/ACCA) or QBE
- Previous experience in an accountancy practice
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with clients
