Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with a growing business based in Chesterfield who are looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a payroll professional looking for a standalone role, taking full ownership of the payroll function and playing a key role within the wider business.
The Role
- Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll from start to finish, ensuring compliance with HMRC legislation and maintaining accurate employee records.
- Full end-to-end payroll processing.
- Managing monthly payroll and ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Processing starters, leavers, changes and statutory payments.
- Completing HMRC submissions and ensuring legislative compliance.
- Managing pension auto-enrolment and associated administration.
- Handling payroll queries and acting as the main point of contact for employees.
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and reconciliations.
- Supporting year-end processes, including P60s and P11Ds.
- Keeping up to date with changes in payroll legislation and ensuring these are implemented effectively.
About You
The successful candidate will have strong end-to-end payroll experience and be comfortable working independently within a standalone payroll position. You will have excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the confidence to take ownership of the payroll function.
