Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing business in Chesterfield as they look to appoint an FP&A Analyst to strengthen their finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to join a forward-thinking organisation where you will play a key role in supporting strategic decision making, financial planning, and business performance analysis.

The Role

  • Work closely with senior finance leaders and operational stakeholders across the business, providing meaningful financial insight and supporting business growth through accurate reporting and analysis.
  • Preparation and analysis of monthly financial reports and performance packs.
  • Supporting the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes.
  • Delivering variance analysis with clear commentary and actionable insight.
  • Building and maintaining financial models to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
  • Partnering with non-finance stakeholders to improve understanding of financial performance and KPIs.
  • Analysing trends, costs, margins, and operational performance across the business.
  • Supporting continuous improvement across reporting processes and systems.
  • Assisting with ad hoc commercial analysis and finance projects as required.

The Candidate

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience.
  • Experienced within FP&A, management accounts, commercial finance, or financial analysis roles.
  • Strong in Excel with experience of financial modelling and data analysis.
  • Commercially aware with the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Proactive, analytical, and keen to add value within a collaborative finance team.
