Growing and ambitious business based in Castleford currently require a CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified accountant to join the team in a high-impact FP&A Manager role. Working closely with the Finance Director and senior leadership team, you will play a key role in strengthening financial planning, improving reporting capability and driving greater visibility of margin and project profitability across the business.
- Developing rolling forecasts linked to key operational drivers including order intake, project schedules, labour and material costs.
- Producing high-quality monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis and insightful commentary.
- Designing and delivering Board-level reporting, KPIs and performance packs.
- Building detailed project-level margin and profitability analysis.
- Partnering with operational and commercial teams to link financial performance with business activity.
- Supporting pricing, quoting, contract reviews and change control through meaningful financial insight.
- Acting as a business partner to senior stakeholders, supporting decision making around investment, capacity and growth.
- Providing ad-hoc analysis, financial modelling and commercial insight to support strategic initiatives.
- Supporting the ongoing development of finance systems, reporting tools and forecasting processes.
CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or equivalent with a strong FP&A or financial modelling background. Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering, retail or project-based environment would be advantageous but not essential. Proven track record of building and owning complex budgeting and forecasting models. Strong understanding of margin, cost drivers and project profitability. Advanced Excel skills with experience in financial modelling. Exposure to ERP/MRP systems and BI tools such as Power BI would be also be advantageous. Strong communication skills with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders.
