We are currently working with a well-established and growing business in West Yorkshire that is looking to appoint a Senior Management Accountant to join its finance team. Reporting into the Financial Controller, you’ll take ownership of the monthly management accounts and play a key role in partnering with senior stakeholders providing meaningful financial insight. This is a great opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified accountant who enjoys more than just producing the numbers and wants to work closely with the wider business.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts
- Month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
- Detailed variance analysis against budget and forecast
- Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting process
- Providing commercial analysis and insight to operational teams
- Business partnering with non-finance stakeholders
- Supporting cash flow and working capital management
- Assisting with financial modelling and ad-hoc analysis
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls and reporting
- Supporting the Financial Controller with wider finance projects
Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below qualifications/experience:
- Strong management accounting experience
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Confidence partnering with senior stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
