We are delighted to be partnering with a global, private equity-backed logistics business headquartered in Bradford to recruit a Group Financial Accountant.
This is an exciting Group Financial Accountant opportunity to join a high-growth international organisation where you'll gain broad exposure to statutory accounting, external reporting and financial compliance within a fast-paced and evolving business.
Reporting to the senior finance leadership team, the Group Financial Accountant will play an integral role in ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of statutory accounts across multiple entities while supporting the wider finance function and contributing to ongoing process improvements.
Key responsibilities will include
- Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS
- Support year-end audit process as a key point of contact for external auditors
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and financial reporting requirements Assist with month-end close process, including balance sheet reconciliations
- Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes and internal controls
- Work with the wider business to deliver accurate financial information
- Support ad hoc finance projects and technical accounting matters as required
Qualifications and experience
- ACA, or ACCA qualified or part qualified.
- Background in audit, accounts preparation or statutory reporting.
- Previous experience in accountancy practice would be advantageous.
- Strong technical understanding of UK GAAP, IFRS and statutory accounting.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
