As an Assistant Group Accountant, you'll play an essential role in supporting the group and holding company accounts, including financial reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, and cashflow management.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll support a range of core finance activities and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes across the group. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting month-end reporting, budgeting, statutory accounts, and variance analysis.
  • Preparing and managing weekly cashflow reporting to the Group Finance Director.
  • Assisting with external audits and the year-end close process.
  • Building dashboards and reports to support decision-making across the business.
  • Assessing the impact of new or updated accounting standards.
  • Helping to streamline the month-end process through automation and improvements.
  • Contributing to updates of internal controls and Group accounting policies.
  • Assisting with internal audits and process reviews to ensure group-wide compliance.

What We’re Looking For

  • Part-qualified (ACCA or ACA), with experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Proactive, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Comfortable working across teams, including with overseas finance functions.
