Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with a progressive and commercially driven organisation based in Alfreton, who are looking to recruit an Assistant Finance Business Partner to support operational performance and strategic decision‑making across the business. This role is ideal for a commercially minded finance professional looking to move beyond traditional reporting and develop true business partnering capability.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the delivery of monthly management accounts with a focus on performance drivers
- Producing insightful variance analysis and commentary to support operational decision‑making
- Partnering with budget holders to challenge costs, improve efficiency and drive value
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and rolling forecasts
- Developing financial models, scenario analysis and KPI reporting
- Supporting commercial projects, investment appraisals and business cases
- Identifying opportunities to improve profitability and financial performance
- Driving continuous improvement in reporting and processes
Requirements
- This opportunity would suit a part‑qualified or newly qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) with commercial awareness and the confidence to engage with non‑finance stakeholders.
- You will bring:
- Experience within management accounting or commercial finance
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and influence decisions
- A proactive, inquisitive approach with a problem‑solving mindset
