Accounts Payable Assistant

Overview

Sharp Consultancy are working in partnership with a rapidly growing and highly reputable business based in the heart of Sheffield. They are looking to appoint an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their finance team on a full-time and permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• Processing high volumes of purchase invoices with accuracy and attention to detail
• Matching, batching, and coding invoices
• Handling supplier queries and reconciling statements
• Assisting with payment runs and managing the accounts payable inbox
• Supporting month-end processes and providing ad hoc support to the wider finance team

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger role
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines
• Confident communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers
• A proactive and positive approach with a willingness to learn and develop
