Accounts Assistant – Temporary

A growing business in Huddersfield is looking for an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant on a temporary basis. In this role, you\’ll support the finance team with transaction processing, reconciliations, and month-end duties. Ideal candidates will have prior experience, proficiency in accounting systems, and be detail-oriented. What you’ll be doing – Accounts Assistant – Temporary Role

Supporting the finance team with day-to-day transactional tasks

Processing purchase and sales invoices accurately and on time

Reconciling bank accounts and matching statements

Assisting with month-end duties, including journals and reports

Managing employee expenses and handling supplier queries

Keeping financial records organised and up to date during a busy period

What we’re looking for – Accounts Assistant – Temporary Role

Previous experience in a similar finance or accounts assistant role

Confident with accounting systems (Sage, Xero, or similar) and Excel

High attention to detail and able to manage a varied workload

Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

AAT qualified or studying – a bonus, not a dealbreaker

Proactive, reliable, and ready to hit the ground running
