Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with an award-winning Accountancy practice based in Sheffield in their recruitment for an Accounts Assistant Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. Our client is an incredibly sought-after practice, offering excellent wider exposure across the SME / OMB market with an impressive benefits package.

This role is newly created and has been designed to support a specialist client portfolio whilst adding a commercial aspect across business development. This position will be well suited to an Accounts / Accounts & Audit Senior looking for a pathway into management of a small team that can provide autonomy and genuine flexibility.

Duties and responsibilities to include:

  • Managing a portfolio of diverse clients including SME’s and OMB’s.

  • Understanding client business requirements and deliver genuine business advice with tailored solutions.

  • Supervising, mentoring, and supporting the development of junior team members.

  • Production of management accounts for specialist clients including forecasting work and P&L review.

  • Meeting with clients to discuss financial accounts and tax-related matters.

  • Preparing and reviewing both corporate and personal tax returns.

  • Review of statutory year-end accounts completed by junior team members.

Person Specification:

  • ACA / ACCA Qualified.

  • Experience of supporting junior members of staff.

  • Strong Accountancy Practice background.
