Role Overview:
The firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate or Counsel to join its Competition, Regulation & Trade team in Melbourne, Australia. The firm is open to sponsoring anyone that may be UK or Ireland qualified.
The successful candidate will engage in a broad spectrum of work, including:
- Advising on competition and consumer law matters.
- Handling regulatory compliance issues.
- Managing cartel and behavioural investigations.
- Assisting with merger clearances and regulatory advice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic legal advice on competition, consumer, and regulatory matters.
- Represent clients in investigations and litigation related to competition law.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
- Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to their professional development.
Qualifications:
- 6 to 12 years plus of experience in private practice or relevant regulatory bodies
- In-depth knowledge of competition and/or consumer and regulatory law.
- Proven experience in advisory work
- Excellent academic credentials and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
