We have a great new opportunity for an Account Manager to join our commercial sales team in Scotland. The focus will be on major cities such as Glasgow and Edinburgh.

We anticipate that the role will involve both account management and development, as well as generating new accounts. We are looking for a sales and account management professional with a good understanding of consultative selling — ideally from a Managed Print/MFP sales background or from IT Hardware sales.

Our ideal candidate will be located in the Glasgow area/M8 corridor and able to access our office in Ayr once a week.

The role

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Achieve and surpass sales targets and other KPIs in line with the sales objectives.
  • Update the sales CRM system — customer records, next actions, sales processes in real-time, and produce accurate monthly sales forecasts.
  • Successfully retain customer accounts and win repeat business.
  • Grow and develop new business customers through proactive and strategic prospecting.
  • Cross-sell from a comprehensive portfolio of products and solutions to existing and new customers, using high-gain questioning and a customer-centric approach.
  • Attend and positively contribute to sales team meetings and 1-2-1s.
  • Strategically plan for success by researching customers, competitors, and verticals, then creating targeted, measurable action plans.
  • Engage in planned sales training, including product/solution training, general sales skills, and CRM usage.
  • Complete all documentation such as sales proposals and orders to a high standard.
  • Use LinkedIn and other social platforms to connect with contacts within existing and potential customers, promoting positive content.
