In this role, you lead Shark Ninja’s global Front End Innovation for floor care, shaping the future of corded, cordless, and hard floor extraction platforms.
You drive early concept architecture, design storytelling, and a scalable NPD pipeline, partnering with engineering, R&D, and marketing to translate blue-sky ideas into consumer-loved products.

Responsibilities
- Lead the Floor Care Front End Innovation team across corded, cordless, and hard floor extraction platforms
- Inspire Industrial Designers and Product Design Engineers to create physical and visual prototypes that sell ideas
- Own the innovation roadmap and identify whitespace opportunities across floor care platforms
- Pitch future-focused concepts that connect emotionally with consumers and align the business
- Champion a studio culture blending hands-on making, iterative sketching, and advanced prototyping
- Collaborate with Mechanical Engineering, R&D, Product Development, and Product Marketing to anchor concepts in scalable product strategy
- Apply deep knowledge of floor care technologies (motors, suction, filtration, batteries, extraction mechanics) to ensure feasibility and appeal
- Leverage materials and manufacturing knowledge (injection molding, die casting, sheet metal, soft goods) to drive DFM/DFA from concept to handoff
- Bring user insights, trend forecasting, and emerging tech to shape future floor care design visions
- Cultivate an innovation environment that emphasizes curiosity, creativity, and invention
- Key requirements
- Degree in Product Design Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field blending design and engineering (PDE background highly valued)
- 15+ years of experience in product design and innovation, preferably in high-volume consumer goods
- Experience across two of the three platforms: corded, cordless stick/ handheld, hard floor extraction or wet/dry systems
- Rich portfolio of category-defining consumer products demonstrating design excellence and commercialization
- Proven leadership building and mentoring creative teams and collaborating across disciplines
- Strong presentation skills and ability to sell ideas to engineers, supply chain, and executives
- Solid technical foundation in high-volume manufacturing and feasibility-driven design
