About the Role

At SharkNinja, we build stuff people actually get excited about — robot vacuums that outsmart your carpet, blenders with main character energy, and the apps that make it all talk to each other. We're growing our Firmware, Cloud, and Mobile App teams to build the connective tissue between hardware, software, and digital experience — with AI baked into how we design, code, and test along the way.

Join us to help design and ship the next generation of SharkNinja products — mobile apps that put your devices in the palm of your hand, full-stack architectures that make the magic happen behind the scenes, and cross-platform builds that bring real intelligence to your fingertips. You'll help evolve our SharkClean app and shape a unified app ecosystem across every connected device we make. Basically: we're on a mission to make your home a little smarter every single day, and we want you in the room where it happens.

  • Team up with embedded, cloud, and hardware folks to bring connected products to life end-to-end
  • Architect full-stack systems that get mobile apps, cloud services, and devices talking to each other seamlessly
  • Write and automate tests so our products are rock-solid the moment they land in someone's home
  • Hunt down performance gremlins and optimize mobile apps for millions of devices in the wild
  • Work shoulder-to-shoulder with teams spanning the whole stack — from embedded firmware to the cloud

What You'll Bring

  • A Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Serious React Native chops for iOS and Android, with TypeScript fluency to match
  • Comfort in the toolbox: VSCode, Xcode, Android Studio, Git, Gradle, CocoaPods, Swift Package Manager
  • A track record of working well across cross-functional dev teams
  • A solid grip on full-stack architecture and mobile-to-cloud integration patterns
  • Genuine enthusiasm for building connected products people love using
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and the drive to run with an A-Player engineering team

Bonus Points For

  • Rust for cross-platform modules, React Navigation, React Query, Protobuf APIs, and native build systems
  • Experience wiring up connected devices or IoT ecosystems
  • Know-how with BLE and WiFi connectivity protocols
  • Systems programming chops in Rust, C/C++, or similar
  • A background in robotics, consumer electronics, or smart home products

How to prepare for a job interview at SharkNinja

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If SharkNinja uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
