Our people are expected to experiment boldly, adopt new tools, and continuously raise what’s possible to create meaningful impact for our consumers. About the Role

We're looking for a Product Design Engineer to join our NPD team at our London Design Office — a creative and technical hub where the next generation of Shark and Ninja products are born. You'll work at the intersection of engineering rigour and consumer imagination, turning ideas into real, manufacturable products that millions of people will use in their homes. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves building things, solving hard problems, and moving fast. You'll be embedded in a collaborative, global team with the tools, talent, and ambition to bring genuinely disruptive products to market.

What You'll Do

  • Originate novel concepts and technologies across the Shark and Ninja product ranges
  • Define elegant, robust solutions that meet functional requirements without compromising on consumer experience
  • Communicate ideas rapidly through sketching, CAD layouts, 3D models, and working prototypes
  • Take ownership of designs from conception through CAD execution, prototyping, and verification — always at pace
  • Apply sound engineering principles to deliver solutions that are real, not just compelling on paper
  • Collaborate closely with Product Development teams in the US and China to ensure great ideas survive all the way to production

What You'll Bring

  • Degree in Product Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Design Engineering
  • 1–3 years' experience in a mechanical or product design environment
  • Proficient in SolidWorks or Creo
  • Genuinely hands-on — comfortable in the lab, building prototypes and reporting findings
  • Able to identify, solve, and verify technical challenges autonomously within a team structure
  • Experience in consumer goods or household appliances is a plus, as is familiarity with plastic manufacturing processes
  • Collaborative and flexible by nature — both are essential here, not just nice to have

How to prepare for a job interview at SharkNinja

Understand the Product Life Cycle

As a product management candidate, we need to get our head around the complete product life cycle. Be prepared to discuss real-world examples of how you’ve managed product development from ideation to launch. Bring specific insights on tools like JIRA or Trello that can help streamline these processes.

Showcase Your Cross-Functional Skills

Product management is all about collaboration. We should be ready to highlight how we’ve worked across teams—think marketing, engineering, and design. Prepare to discuss scenarios where you had to mediate differing opinions and how you got everyone on board with a shared vision.

Prepare for Case Studies

Practise solving hypothetical product problems on the spot, such as prioritising features for a new app or improving user engagement metrics. This will show our analytical thinking and decision-making skills.

Know Your Metrics
