Summary of Position
We are looking for a Consumer Insights Intern to help inform a new generation of innovative products across our Shark & Ninja ranges. You will act as the voice of the consumer, bringing insights into our product development process as we strive to make high-quality, relevant, innovative consumer goods.
Role Functions:
- Develop research plans and conduct qualitative (IDIs; focus groups; shelf assessments) and quantitative (surveys) consumer research for new product development and commercialization.
- Provide engineering and design teams with actionable insights to deliver consumer-centric products.
- Collaborate as part of a cross-functional, international team to deliver rigorous, relevant research.
- Translate feedback, including latent needs and dissatisfaction, into product innovation and development recommendations.
- Manage a range of projects across both of our brands, ensuring that research is executed, and outputs delivered in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively, professionally, and with confidence to cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrate creative and innovative thinking.
- Collaborate with consumer insights teams in the EU, UK and US to develop and publish a comprehensive understanding of consumer needs and expectations.
Role Requirements:
- Undergraduate or post-graduate level – ideally looking for a 1-year sandwich placement in industry (though not essential).
- Focus on Marketing, Psychology, Economics, Consumer Research, or other applicable subject area.
- Demonstrate meticulous research skills.
- A dedication to continuous improvement of processes and methods.
- Communicate for impact – distilling data into clear, impactful insights.
- Strive for quality while delivering results in a time-pressured, fast-paced environment.
- Work flexibly and collaboratively with cross-functional partners.
- Maintain a positive approach with an inquisitive nature.
- Foreign language skills are advantageous, but not essential.
