SharkNinja is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Management Accountant to join our Gross to Net team. This role is pivotal in supporting accurate financial reporting, managing customer-specific accounts, and driving insights into revenue chargebacks and deductions. The ideal candidate will be part-qualified with strong Excel skills and a passion for uncovering financial risks and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Month-End Close & Reporting: Execute timely and accurate month-end close processes. Prepare Trial Balance reconciliations across relevant accounts. Ensure completeness and accuracy of journal entries and accruals as they relate to gross margin. Support management account preparation and variance analysis. Perform key SOX controls to ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
- Customer-Specific Account Management: Own and manage customer-specific P&Ls focusing on identifying risks and opportunities. Collaborate with commercial and sales teams to validate deductions and chargebacks. Investigate anomalies and ensure proper accounting treatment for revenue adjustments.
- Revenue Chargebacks & Deductions: Analyse and reconcile revenue deductions including promotional spend, returns, and chargebacks. Partner with the Deductions team to ensure accurate documentation and resolution of outstanding items. Support the development of deduction forecasting models and reporting tools.
- Excel & Systems Expertise: Use basic Excel functions (e.g. pivot tables, lookups) to manipulate and analyse large datasets. Support system enhancements and automation initiatives within the Gross to Net process. Prior experience with an ERP system preferred (e.g. Oracle ERP, SAP).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with FP&A, Sales, and wider Accounting teams to align on reporting and controls. Participate in meetings and walkthroughs to ensure compliance with SOX and internal controls. Assist in audit support and documentation for external and internal reviews.
- Part-qualified in ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, ideally within a consumer goods or retail environment.
- Strong understanding of revenue accounting and deduction management.
- Intermediate Excel skills; experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
