About Us

Sharegain began with one question: If the largest institutions solely exercise the right to lend their stocks, bonds, and ETFs, what would it take to unlock this revenue opportunity for every investor? Our team of experts in the US, UK and Israel built the solution: a platform that empowers online brokers, private banks, and wealth managers to offer securities lending to their clients. We call it SLaaS: Securities Lending as a Service. It's a fully digital, customizable, end-to-end solution that automates front- and back-office operations. Institutions and investors are now free to earn more from what they own.

Every Sharegainer has their own backstory, but we all share an ambition to do things differently – bigger, better, and greater. Together we're on a mission to democratize capital markets by building a more liquid world. The more we share, the more we all gain.

About The Role

We are looking for a hands-on, technically oriented HR Business Partner to join our growing People team, based in our London office. In this role you will own and lead HR processes across our UK and US operations, with global interfaces across the wider organization. You will act as a trusted advisor to business leaders and employees, driving a high-performing culture and delivering impactful people programs. This is an individual contributor role where your impact comes through execution, relationships, and leading tech-driven HR initiatives on site.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to provide expert HR advisory support, coaching, and guidance on all people matters.
  • Own the full employee lifecycle – onboarding, performance management, career development, succession planning, and retention – in close partnership with managers.
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment across the UK and US: partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, run structured interview processes, and ensure a consistent and high-quality candidate experience.
  • Lead organizational design efforts and workforce planning as the business scales across the UK, US, and globally.
  • Champion inclusion, diversity, and equity – act as a culture ambassador who leads by example and fosters a sense of belonging across the organization.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations matters in a timely, fair, and legally compliant manner.
  • Collaborate with the wider People team on the design and delivery of people programs including compensation reviews, learning & development, and HR policy updates.
  • Use people data and metrics to generate insights and drive continuous improvement across HR processes and employee experience.

Required Skills

  • Experience: 3+ years of HR experience, including at least 2 years in a Business Partner or similar generalist role.
  • Industry Background: Experience working in a tech or FinTech company is strongly preferred.
  • Track Record: Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth scale-up or technology environment.
  • Employee Relations: Strong knowledge of UK employment law and experience managing complex ER cases end-to-end. Familiarity with New York State employment law is a plus.
  • Talent & Performance: Hands-on experience with performance management frameworks, talent reviews, and development planning.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders and employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Cross-Cultural Collaboration: Experience working across diverse cultures and geographies is a strong advantage.
  • AI & Tech Proficiency: Technically oriented with hands-on experience using AI tools. Comfortable leading tech initiatives, adopting new HR systems and platforms quickly, and driving digital ways of working on site.
  • Hiring & Recruitment: Significant hands-on experience owning recruitment end-to-end – sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing. Comfortable partnering with hiring managers across technical and non-technical roles.
  • Regulated Environment: Experience working in or supporting a regulated company (e.g. financial services, FinTech) is an advantage.
  • HR Systems Migration: Experience leading or supporting HR systems migration or implementation projects is an advantage.
  • Data-Driven: Comfortable using people's data and HR metrics to identify trends and inform decisions.
