We are looking for an experienced Lead Functional Consultant specialising in Advanced Warehousing to support a critical phase of a D365 F&O programme. This is a short-term engagement focused on stabilisation, optimisation, and driving best practice across warehouse processes.

Overview

You will operate as the functional lead across warehousing, working closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and technical resources to ensure the solution is fit for purpose and aligned to operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the functional design and optimisation of Advanced Warehousing within D365 F&O.
  • Engage with stakeholders across operations, supply chain, and IT to gather and refine requirements.
  • Review existing warehouse processes and identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
  • Drive best practice use of Advanced Warehousing capabilities including mobile device flows, work templates, and location directives.
  • Own functional documentation including solution design, process flows, and configuration decisions.
  • Support system configuration and oversee functional delivery across the workstream.
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure successful integration and deployment.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to junior consultants and wider delivery teams.
  • Support testing phases including SIT and UAT, ensuring business readiness.
  • Act as the escalation point for warehousing-related functional issues.

Skills and Experience Profile

  • Strong experience as a Functional Consultant within D365 F&O, with a focus on Advanced Warehousing (WMS).
  • Proven track record operating at Lead Consultant level on complex programmes.
  • Deep understanding of warehouse processes including inbound, outbound, picking, packing, and inventory control.
  • Hands-on experience configuring Advanced Warehousing modules including work templates, wave processing, and mobile device menu items.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable functional solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working in fast-paced delivery environments, particularly within transformation or stabilisation phases.
  • Comfortable leading workshops and driving decision-making with senior stakeholders.

  • £600 per day.
  • Initial 3-month contract with potential extension.
