This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Insurance Business Analyst with an established background in Insurance, to play a pivotal role in the transformation of Insurance services of a leading Specialty Insurance firm in the City. The successful candidate will have a compelling background working as the interface between business users and technical development teams and be passionate about driving business change.

Responsibilities

  • Build close and lasting relationships with business users, business change team and IT teams to achieve company technology goals.
  • Work hand in hand with end users to build comprehensive and concise documentation for change proposals and new initiatives, ensuring full traceability back to the businesses processes.
  • Lead the gathering of requirements, run workshops/meetings with key stakeholders and third-party vendors to ensure outcomes are well defined and understood.
  • Document As Is / To Be of business processes to identify future possibility for business change.
  • Working alongside business stakeholders to shape solutions to complicated business problems and liaising closely with Business Systems Analysts and Architects to assess solution options to ensure the needs of the business are met.
  • Maintaining solution integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Working with integration partners to deliver solutions including offshore teams and multiple 3rd parties.
  • Be a Product Owner for digital applications/services – be accountable for the current running, backlog, optimisation and future state of the solution.
  • Be confident in challenging end users and stakeholders on ideas/proposals to achieve utmost clarity.
  • Ensure best practice and delivery of E2E business analysis services, as well as propose new ideas to Head of Business Change to enhance best practice.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong Insurance domain knowledge, ideally with experience in London Insurance Market.
  • Strong Business Analysis experience, capable of delivering independent E2E BA services to drive digital transformation.
  • Strong experience working closely with business users, understanding their needs and exploring opportunities for business change through workshops, then seeing them through to delivery.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills and fantastic relationship building skills; the successful candidate will be personable, dynamic and will be able to work effectively as part of a close-knit team, as well as independently.
  • Good appreciation for the technology landscape and working with development teams to achieve future state IT goals.
  • Experience with working with third party vendors and offshore teams.
  • Appreciation or previous experience of being a Product Owner.
  • Strong desire to work in and transform the Insurance market.

Desirable: Familiarity with Pega
