Working within the Highway Contract Management Team, you will contribute to the delivery and management of the Hampshire Highways Service Contract (HHSC), which delivers over £80m of highway maintenance and improvement projects each year. The role is based at our Winchester office, with the opportunity to work from home subject to business requirements and in-office collaborative days (Tuesdays and Wednesdays).
What you’ll do
- Provide support to the wider teams managing the maintenance, improvement, regulatory, and asset management functions of the highway network to ensure an efficient and effective service for highway users.
- Understand complex documents and interpret data.
- Analyse data and prioritise competing workloads.
- Adopt a systematic approach to work.
- Use a wide range of IT systems comfortably.
What we’re looking for
- Organised and analytical, comfortable working with detailed documents like contracts and computer systems to handle and analyse data.
- Familiar with project management fundamentals, able to juggle priorities and meet deadlines, and communicate clearly with a range of people.
- Collaborative, building strong working relationships, and willing to challenge things in a positive way to improve performance.
It would be a bonus if you have experience in:
- Highway maintenance NEC contracts.
- Health and safety requirements.
