Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergencies such as fires, road traffic collisions, floods, and rescues.
  • Work in communities to help prevent emergencies and reduce risk.
  • Provide safety advice.
  • Support vulnerable people to stay safe and independent.
  • Work closely with other emergency services and partner organisations.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Be at least 17.5 years old at the point of application.
  • Be eligible to work in the UK.
  • No previous firefighting experience – full training will be provided.
  • Be willing and able to travel and work across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
  • Meet the required fitness standards and maintain them throughout your career.
