Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and analytical professional to join our Performance & Evaluation team as a Community Safety Evaluation & Quality Assurance Specialist. This role plays a key part in strengthening how we assess, improve and evidence the impact of our Community Safety activity. You will lead on the development of quality assurance and evaluation frameworks, ensuring our work is consistently high‑quality, evidence‑based and outcome‑focused.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver evaluation processes to assess the impact of community safety activities.
  • Analyse qualitative and quantitative data to identify trends, learning and improvement opportunities.
  • Produce clear, evidence‑based reports and recommendations to inform decision‑making.
  • Design and implement quality assurance frameworks across Community Safety teams.
  • Carry out audits of prevention and protection activity (e.g., Safe & Well visits, fire safety work).
  • Monitor compliance with frameworks and ensure consistent, high standards of delivery.
  • Create tools, guidance and procedures to support evaluation and QA activity.
  • Ensure alignment with national guidance, including NFCC standards and the HM Treasury Magenta Book.
  • Continuously review and improve frameworks based on learning and emerging best practice.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in designing and implementing evaluation and quality assurance approaches.
  • Ability to lead projects from concept through to delivery.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret and communicate complex information clearly.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Initiative, creativity and a proactive approach to drive high standards and promote best practice.
