At Marlfield, we’re looking for a passionate and motivated Assistant Unit Manager to join our vibrant team. You’ll be at the heart of our home, leading shifts and ensuring everything runs smoothly in the absence of our Deputy and Registered Manager. Your dedication will help us provide high-quality care and promote the physical and emotional wellbeing of our residents.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead with confidence: Use your expertise to inspire and guide our team, monitor performance and identify training opportunities.
  • Manage daily operations: Deputise for senior leaders, manage staff and resources, handle admission assessments and CQC notifications.
  • Deliver exceptional care: Work closely with residents to create and implement care plans and Mental Capacity assessments, ensuring seamless handovers.
  • Drive improvement: Conduct quality assurance audits and coach team members to maintain our high standards.

What we’re looking for:

  • Relevant experience: Successful track record of working with older adults in health or social care.
  • Good IT skills: MO365 experience (including Word, Outlook and Excel) and a willingness to expand your knowledge.
  • Strong leader: Lead by example, using best practice to role-model high standards of work.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills: Adapt your style to meet the diverse needs of our residents.
  • Compassionate: Show patience, empathy and respect in every interaction, always putting our residents first.
