Services for Young Children (SfYC) are looking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic part‑time Advisor to the post of Speech and Language Therapist Advisor (Early Years). This is an exciting opportunity to use your expertise and join a supportive team of professionals working across Hampshire to raise outcomes for all children.

What you'll do:

  • Support teachers and practitioners in schools and settings to improve speech, language and education outcomes for children through the implementation of the SfYC Strategic Plan.
  • Build trusting professional relationships and work closely with a range of colleagues and partners across educational settings and within Hampshire County Council to deliver quality training, support and advice that makes a difference for the youngest children.

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with current experience or knowledge of working within the maintained, private, voluntary and independent sectors, across the birth‑to‑five years age range.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of early‑years speech and language development, with a passion for inclusive practice.
  • Ability to challenge existing practices and identify innovative solutions.
  • Willingness to work across Hampshire in different districts according to need and skills.

The work pattern for this 0.5 FTE role is over 2.5 days per week; term‑time only work patterns may also be considered.
