As a Team Leader you will lead all aspects of daily operations at our Prisons Enquiry Centre, where your leadership will directly impact service delivery and team success. We’re looking for someone who brings not just experience—but the values, accountability, and customer-first approach that encourages teams to thrive. The centre operates 365 days a year. Shifts are scheduled between 07:00 and 20:00 on weekdays, and between 07:00 and 17:00 on weekends and public holidays. You’ll also be part of a fair rotation, working one in every three weekends. Newport Office days are Thursday and Friday with the remainder worked from home.

This role will be a 6 month FTC opportunity.

  • Keep things running smoothly by monitoring real-time activity.
  • Be the go-to support for your team—offering guidance, answering questions, and helping them navigate challenges as they arise.
  • Coach for success by giving regular feedback and helping team members grow their skills and confidence.
  • Champion quality by reviewing interactions and ensuring we’re delivering excellent service every time.
  • Have meaningful 1:1s with your team to check in, offer support, and document progress.
  • Support career growth by helping the team set development goals and plan their next steps.
  • Drive performance by keeping an eye on key targets and making sure the team meets (and beats!) service expectations.
