At NHS SBS, you’ll join a friendly, collaborative consultancy team that works closely with NHS trusts on digital‑automation and transformation projects. You might be designing new automation opportunities, advising senior stakeholders or helping shape longer‑term automation strategies. You’ll also have the chance to contribute to our consultancy development, explore new technologies and be part of our growing community of practice. This role is hybrid – ideally London based, but we will consider Leeds or Manchester, with around one or two office visits a month for meetings or workshop sessions.
What you’ll be doing:
- Acting as a subject matter expert during pre‑sales and discovery activities, including opportunity assessments, solution recommendations and creating value‑focused proposals.
- Working with NHS trust stakeholders to identify, evaluate and prioritise automation opportunities aligned to strategic objectives and operational outcomes.
- Developing project plans, timelines, resource models and budgets that align with governance frameworks and the needs of NHS clients.
- Guiding and supporting automation developers to ensure high‑quality delivery and successful outcomes.
- Monitoring project progress, risks and KPIs, providing clear updates to stakeholders and championing continuous improvement.
- Facilitating communication between internal teams, partners and NHS stakeholders to ensure automation workflows and solutions are well designed and effectively delivered.
What you’ll bring:
- Considerable experience supporting, developing and delivering intelligent‑automation solutions end to end within complex or regulated environments.
- Experience working within NHS organisations.
- Strong understanding of intelligent‑automation technologies, RPA tools, automation methodologies and delivery lifecycles.
- Experience conducting process discovery, workflow analysis or opportunity‑assessment activities.
- Expertise in project‑management principles including planning, risk management, benefits realisation and reporting.
- Understanding of NHS operational processes, information‑governance standards or digital‑standards frameworks.
It would be great if you had:
- Experience working in consultancy or professional services, ideally with NHS organisations or public‑sector bodies.
- Knowledge of integrating automation with wider digital, AI or workflow technologies.
- Ability to design automation roadmaps, operating models or long‑term strategies.
