As a Network Technician, you will play a key role in our exciting transformation of Defence Business Services. This role will be based on site in our Gosport location and the successful candidate will be required to travel to Glasgow to complete initial training and job shadowing.
What you’ll be doing:
- Implement and maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls, switching, routing, and IPS
- Apply your practical experience and extensive knowledge of cloud technologies, like Azure or OCI.
- Collaborate closely with teams from various departments to determine and successfully implement network requirements
- Monitor and optimize network performance, ensuring exceptional uptime and reliability
- Provide support and resolve network-related issues in a timely manner
What you’ll bring:
- Experience in a Junior Network Technician/Engineer or similar internship
- Proficiency in switching and routing
- Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, specifically Azure or OCI
It would be great if you had:
- Experience with F5 Load Balancers and Fortinet products (Fortigate and Fortiweb)
- CCNA/CCNP certification
- Knowledge of datacentre operations
- Familiarity with ServiceNow and SolarWinds
