We are looking for a dynamic, passionate and hardworking person to join our friendly team working on exciting projects on behalf of our defence client!

Being the first port of call you will be answering enquiries via telephone, email and our online support system from military personnel, their families and third parties. Calls will relate to pay, allowances, records, pensions, medals and offer first line IT support to the organisation and customers. This is an exciting role that does not require any previous experience as we have an outstanding training package that will give you all the tools to help you do the job.

Working in a busy but relaxed team you will need excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail. This role is office based where you will have the full onsite support from colleagues and line managers at our Glasgow City Centre, centre of excellence. The Enquiry Centre opening hours are 7am – 7pm Monday to Friday and you will work 8 hours per day on a rotational shift basis. Excellent timekeeping and attendance are needed.

What you'll be doing:

  • Answer all incoming/outgoing enquiries.
  • Respond to all emails and internal service requests in line with current service level agreements.
  • Use the Oracle Based system to provide an accurate and timely response or raise queries where applicable.
  • Take ownership of customer queries, comments, feedback and complaints.
  • Be customer focused at all times and highlight any improvements opportunities.
  • Work as part of a strong team to deliver results during peak times.

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
  • A proficient level of digital literacy with the ability to work from multiple applications including Microsoft Office.
  • Well-mannered and professional telephone manner.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.

Salary: £24,636 increasing to £26,395 following passing probation (inclusive of shift allowance)
