Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in London for a Supervising Social Worker. The role involves supervising and supporting foster carers to ensure they provide the highest standard of care for children with disabilities. Responsibilities include regular home visits, completing assessments, delivering training, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. Additionally, the Supervising Social Worker will work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, contribute to placement planning, and advocate for the needs of foster carers and children.
Qualifications
- Professional qualification in Social Work and registration with the appropriate regulatory body
- Experience in fostering, child protection, or working with children and young people with disabilities
- Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency in case management, assessment, and report writing
- Knowledge of fostering regulations, safeguarding policies, and child welfare legislation
- Commitment to promoting inclusion, equality, and diversity
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed
