We specialise in the provision of dedicated multi‑purpose vessels to serve the offshore wind market and support our customers' operations.
The Marine Business Development Manager will work to increase the pipeline of charters within the Marine Division of OEG. The Marine Business Development Manager will be responsible for looking for additional opportunities and working with existing clients to ensure repeat business. The commercial aspect of this role will require them to liaise with all departments and all levels within the business to ensure that targets are being met and contractual requirements fulfilled.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Look for new opportunities to maximise revenue and profit;
- Help implement and manage the BD process with a focus on maintaining the CRM Salesforce;
- Work with the Chartering Manager to develop and implement BD processes;
- Assist the Chartering Manager in preparation of tenders, proposals and related contracts;
- Prepare and provide presentations to clients and senior management as required;
- Work with the Operations team to ensure strong company performance on new projects, that we are meeting contractual obligations and that any changes are monitored and options submitted;
- Liaise with the Chartering Manager and notify of any matters identified that may fall short of client/customer expectations or reaching a milestone achievement;
- Track and report sales invoice information for the global fleet of vessels, whether owned or chartered;
- Make regular visits to new & existing clients and maintain strong relationships;
- Manage and increase the media presence of OEG Marine in consultation with the Marketing Department;
- Produce reports on the current pipeline for OEG Marine and report to senior management;
- Attend and assist Marketing with the organisation of corporate events.
Requirements
- Minimum three years’ demonstrable experience delivering in a similar position;
- Technical knowledge and understanding of the Offshore Renewable Industry;
- Excellent use of Microsoft Office product suite including Word, PowerPoint and Excel;
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK, Europe, Asia and America;
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills;
- Experience and knowledge of working with Marine Operations.
