Would you like to work with people and help them to tell their stories?
Share Your Story is opening in vibrant central Altrincham in Spring 2025 and we\’re looking for Store Advisors to work in our shop / training venue.
You\’ll sell customers the right equipment to tell their stories (anything from journalling notebooks to cameras and drones), help them set up their kit, advise them on the support we offer, book them into training courses, and create gifts with their creations (such as printed mugs). You might also work with small groups to support our experienced trainers delivering courses.
While retail and/or creative experience would be an advantage, we\’re looking for people who show empathy, are keen to learn and are happy to pitch in across the different roles required.
In return we\’ll offer you the chance to be in at the beginning of a new business where your ideas will be heard and a degree of flexible working (3-5 days/week with no Sunday working, although you will need to work Saturdays). We’ll also invest in training including a 30-minute paid training session every week.
We’ll pay you £13.50 per hour (annual equivalent £26,325 based on a 37.5-hour week) plus an employer contribution to a pension. A range of salary sacrifice benefits also will be offered, tailored to the people hired, as well as employee discounts, 28 days holiday per year pro-rata, and an annual profit-related bonus. We are committed to paying the Real Living Wage.
If you\’re interested, take a look at our website (www.shareyourstory.uk/jobs-1) or social media and apply below or via the website with both CV and covering letter – please make sure in the latter to mention whether you\’re available full time or which days you can work if not. Start date to be confirmed but will probably be mid-April.
Please apply by 9am on 24th February
Any offer of work will be dependent on two references & the right to work in the UK.
