Share, a registered charity that empowers adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, is seeking a passionate and creative Youth Development Facilitator. The role involves developing and facilitating a new youth development programme across four South London sites (Clapham Junction, Tooting, Brixton, and Vauxhall), delivering sessions at training centres and in the community, and helping students build the life skills they need for long‑term change.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and facilitate the programme using a range of creative methods to support students’ learning goals.
  • Support progression pathways for young people who have a learning disability and/or are autistic, many of whom have recently left college.
  • Work with each young person to understand their preferences and strengths, developing an accessible action plan.
  • Strengthen local community and youth networks by developing partnerships with external organisations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience working with young people and a passion for delivering high‑quality services.
  • Good understanding of the challenges faced by adults with learning disabilities and a strong commitment to the inclusion of disabled people in all aspects of life.
  • Excellent planning and time‑management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and targets.
  • Ability to take a collaborative and empowering approach, working with students, partners and volunteers to deliver person‑centred services.
  • A shared commitment to equality and inclusion of disabled people in society.
