We are looking for someone to keep our Share Clapham Junction site clean and well maintained. The role of the site caretaker is to create a safe, clean and well‑maintained environment for students, staff and visitors every day. You will be responsible for cleaning offices, classrooms, kitchens, toilets and carrying out periodic deep clean of internal and external spaces.

Job Details

  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Salary: London Living Wage – £14.80 per hour
  • Working Hours: 30 hours per week; 6 hours per day, Monday – Friday
  • Location: Share Clapham Junction, 64 Altenburg Gardens, London, UK, SW11 1JL (occasionally required to work at Tooting, Brixton and Vauxhall sites)
  • Reports to: HR Advisor
  • Closing Date: 10 Jul 2026 – 5:00pm

Responsibilities

  • Clean the site, including toilets, office spaces and a shared kitchen.
  • Handle chemicals and cleaning agents safely, keeping them locked away.
  • Maintain and replace fixtures and fittings, and move and assemble furniture.
  • Conduct and record regular fire alarm tests, ensuring fire exits and evacuation routes remain free from obstruction.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience of cleaning in a commercial, domestic, retail or office setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a thorough cleaning standard.
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations, infection control and deep cleaning.
  • Passion for helping disabled people enjoy greater autonomy and understanding of how to support this goal.
