We are looking for a Head of Training to join our organisation. This is a key leadership role that would fit someone who can think strategically, lead with confidence and help us strengthen and grow the quality and impact of our learning and employability offer. Share is a registered charity and a centre for training and wellbeing. We provide a range of programmes empowering adults with a learning disability, autistic adults, and adults with other support needs to live happier, healthier, and more independent lives. Our vision is a world where disabled people are fully included in society, living the life they choose, and we need talented people to help us make that happen. At Share, we are ambitious about what disabled adults can achieve when they are given the right opportunities and support.

The Head of Training will play a central part in shaping how our training provision evolves, ensuring it remains high quality, inclusive and focused on real outcomes for the people we support.

Main responsibilities:

  • You will develop and implement Share's learning, training and employability strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and future growth.
  • You’ll contribute to organisational planning and decision making as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
  • You’ll develop and maintain strategic relationships with local authorities, employers, education providers, health and social care organisations, funders and community partners.
  • You’ll lead the quality assurance framework for all learning and training provision, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, accessibility and safeguarding, and an excellent student experience.

Who we’re looking for:

  • You'll have leadership experience within adult learning, employability, SEND, disability services, further education or community learning.
  • You’ll have experience contributing to organisational strategy, service development and continuous improvement.
  • You’ll have a track record of developing successful partnerships with employers, education providers, local authorities, funders and other stakeholders.
  • You’ll understand the barriers and opportunities affecting adults with a learning disability, autistic adults and people with additional support needs.

Why work for us?

Share is committed to empowering disabled adults. You’ll make a difference every day, helping people to live as independently as possible. Our values drive us forward. They provide the framework for everything we do, including who we hire. We believe everyone has something to offer others, and we build on people's individual talents, interests and abilities. We think happy employees are successful employees. We hold a gold Investors in People accreditation, which means we truly understand the value of people: we focus on what people can do, not what holds them back. And we have robust policies in place so that every single person working at Share takes ownership for making our programmes come to life. We’ve been praised for our supportive working environment where everyone has a voice and is valued. You’ll be surrounded by people who support you, challenge you, and inspire you. We positively welcome applications from all parts of the community and from people with diverse cultural backgrounds and lived experience. We focus on ability and believe people work best when they feel valued, safe and happy. We do all that we can to make sure that Share is friendly and welcoming to everyone. All CVs and applications are sanitised to ensure unbiased recruitment. This job is subject to two satisfactory references, evidence of qualifications, an enhanced DBS check and providing evidence of the right to work in the UK. If you are disabled and would like to discuss other ways of submitting your application, please call us on 020 7924 2949. Our privacy policy for job applicants can be found on our website.
