We are looking for a dynamic PR Manager to join our team at Share Communications. Share Comms is a specialist investment PR agency. We are a team of proactive PR professionals helping our investment and wealth manager clients raise their profile and strengthen their brand awareness through quality coverage drawing on our communications expertise. Our work is tailored, strategic and built around a deep understanding of our clients and the media that matters to them. We are committed to going the extra mile for our clients, and our work at times sees us provide broader marketing communications advice and social media support.
This role is ideal for a PR with at least 4-5 years' experience, including some financial services or investment experience (1 year+) who is confident in leading client relationships and creating opportunities to showcase clients' insight and investment offering in the media.
As PR Manager, you will be a core member of our team β leading clients' PR strategy, ensuring we deliver results and playing a key role in shaping the agency's future growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead multiple client accounts as the day-to-day primary point of contact β developing strategy, overseeing delivery, and maintaining trusted relationships with clients.
- Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies tailored to the client, including campaigns, thought leadership, reputation management and media outreach.
- Draft, review and refine high-quality press materials, commentaries, messaging docs and briefing notes, ensuring consistency and alignment with client messaging.
- Critically evaluate and refine press releases, pitches, client content and other written materials for PR/media use.
- Build and maintain relationships with key journalists and editors across national, broadcast and trade media.
- Identify and secure new opportunities to elevate client profile β whether this ties to market trends, news events or new sectors and formats.
- Track market developments β from regulation to macroeconomic shifts β to inform advice and ensure media relevance.
- Support with client media coaching and briefing senior spokespeople.
- Support other team members, reviewing work and collaborating to develop either your or their PR skills.
- Contribute to new business proposals and pitches and be willing to present confidently to prospective clients.
- Help shape the agency's direction and play a part in growing the business.
- Understand and support in managing third party providers such as media monitoring and licensing.
- PR experience agency-side or in-house, including investment or financial services.
- A natural instinct for PR, including strong people skills and confident interaction with clients and journalists.
- Understanding of the investment/financial media and experience with investment firms, fund managers and/or platforms is a big plus.
- A highly organised, dynamic individual who thrives on a varied workload and multi-tasking with the ability to manage and effectively prioritise multiple projects and deadlines.
- A collaborative team-player keen to contribute to a positive, supportive culture β a 'can do' attitude is essential.
- A calm, flexible and reliable team member who gets things done and is prepared to go the extra mile for our clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with great attention to detail.
- Strong media instincts β you know how to spot a media hook or interesting theme and tailor a pitch.
- A solid understanding of how journalists work.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite β experience with managing LinkedIn pages, using Canva, Slack, Trello or media monitoring tools is a bonus.
