Locations & Working Hours
- Kingswood, Bristol – 15 hrs per week (Tuesday: 9:30am‑12:45pm, Thursday: 4:30pm‑7:15pm, Friday: 2:00pm‑4:45pm, Saturday: 9:30am‑2:15pm)
- Frenchay, Bristol – 13 hrs per week (Tuesday: 4:30pm‑7:15pm, Wednesday: 11:30am‑2:15pm, Friday: 9:30am‑12:15pm)
- Bedminster, Bristol – 21 hrs per week (Monday: 4:30pm‑7:15pm, Wednesday: 11:30am‑2:15pm, Friday: 11:30am‑2:15pm, Saturday: 9:30am‑2:15pm)
About the role
We need three new Library of Things Managers to run the Frenchay, Bedminster, and Kingswood sites, working with the rest of our small team of staff and volunteers to make borrowing as convenient as buying. We’re looking for people who thrive on being busy, cannot wait to welcome people when they walk in, and approach everything with enthusiasm, while remaining well‑organised.
Responsibilities
- Run the selected site, managing lending sessions and volunteering support.
- Operate a sander and maintain accurate spreadsheet records.
- Facilitate a welcoming environment and provide excellent customer service.
- Assist with inventory management and ensure proper maintenance of items.
Requirements
- Passion for sustainability and local communities.
- Experience or skills in basic office tasks, spreadsheets, and a sander.
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Legal right to work in the UK and a satisfactory Basic DBS check.

Availability
We’re looking for someone to start as soon as practical and to work between 13 and 21 hours per week, depending on the site.
