Daisy Chain Nursery are looking for a new Childcare Apprentice. You will be studying toward your Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship L2 / 3.
About the Role
As an Early Years Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced practitioners to support children's learning, development and wellbeing while working towards a recognised childcare qualification. You will gain valuable hands-on experience across all aspects of nursery practice, including supporting daily routines, planning activities and promoting positive outcomes for children.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Support the care, learning and development of children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Assist with daily care routines, including mealtimes, personal care and promoting independence.
- Help plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that support children's learning and development.
- Observe, monitor and record children's progress under the guidance of experienced practitioners.
- Maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment for all children.
- Support children with additional needs and promote equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents/carers and colleagues.
- Follow nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding and child protection requirements.
- Assist with maintaining accurate records, including observations, accidents and incidents.
- Contribute positively to the wider nursery team and support the smooth running of the setting.
