Pebbles Day Nursery are looking for a new Apprentice. You will be studying toward your Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship L2
About the Role
As an Apprentice Early Years Practitioner, you will work towards a recognised Early Years qualification while gaining practical experience in a nursery setting.
You will support the delivery of high-quality care and education for children aged 0β5 years, helping to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where every child can learn, develop, and thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote children's learning and development.
- Assist in providing a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for all children.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues.
- Help meet children's individual care needs, including feeding, toileting, changing, and supporting personal hygiene while maintaining dignity and safeguarding.
- Observe children's development and contribute to recording their progress under the guidance of qualified practitioners.
- Promote children's emotional wellbeing, independence, confidence, and social skills.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health, and safety throughout the nursery.
- Follow safeguarding, child protection, and confidentiality policies at all times.
- Assist with setting up and tidying learning environments and resources.
- Attend team meetings, supervision sessions, mandatory training, and college or apprenticeship sessions.
- Complete all assignments for your apprenticeship in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and apply new knowledge and skills in everyday practice.
- Work as part of the nursery team to provide high-quality care and education.
