Alne Preschool Playgroup are looking for a Nursery Assistant Apprentice, you will be studying toward your Early Years Educator L3.

  • Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Level 2 Childcare Apprentice.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a childcare setting while working towards a Level 3 qualification.

You will support the day‑to‑day care of children aged 2–4 and within after‑school 4–11, ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and develop.

Responsibilities

Your role will include

  • To provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times.
  • To help deliver an appropriate play‑based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress.
  • To help ensure the preschool nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times.
  • To understand and work to preschool nursery policies and procedures, including how.
  • To deal with child protection issues appropriately and how to respond to incidents, accidents, complaints and emergencies.
  • To plan activities which ensure each child is making good progress.
  • To be a key person, monitoring and updating children’s progress by way of an app.
  • To ensure records are properly maintained, e. g. accident and incident book, risk assessments.
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed, in accordance with the preschool aims and objectives.
