Westhill House Nursery are looking for a new Childcare Apprentice. You will be studying toward your Early Years Educator apprenticeship L3.

Are you a caring, enthusiastic and reliable individual looking to start a rewarding career in childcare?

As an Early Years Apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced practitioners to support the learning, development and wellbeing of children aged 0–5 years.

You'll gain valuable hands‑on experience while working towards a nationally recognised qualification, developing the skills and confidence needed for a successful career in the early years sector.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being active, has a positive attitude, and is passionate about helping children learn, grow and reach their full potential.

You'll receive ongoing training, support and mentoring from an experienced nursery team throughout your apprenticeship.

  • Day‑Day Responsibilities
  • Support children's learning and development through play‑based activities and planned experiences.
  • Help create a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children aged 0–5 years.
  • Assist with daily routines, including mealtimes, personal care, sleep routines and outdoor play.
  • Build positive and professional relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues.
  • Observe children's progress and assist with recording observations in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Support children's emotional, social and physical development through engaging activities.
  • Prepare and maintain a clean, safe and organised learning environment.
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, equality and nursery policies and procedures at all times.
  • Work as part of the nursery team while completing apprenticeship training and coursework.
