We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to take ownership of the delivery of De Havilland Place, an exclusive development in White Waltham, Berkshire.
About De Havilland Place
Designed in-house by our architectural team, De Havilland Place combines distinctive architecture, thoughtfully designed layouts and premium specifications throughout. The development comprises 79 two, three and four-bedroom homes, delivered across three phases. Phase 1, comprising 29 homes, is currently under construction, with Phases 2 and 3 following as the development progresses.
This is a genuine opportunity to take full ownership of a high-quality, low-volume development, overseeing delivery from the early stages of construction through to completion, handover and final close-out.
The role
As Site Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day running and successful delivery of the development, ensuring programme, quality, health and safety and customer expectations are consistently met.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing the build programme and proactively resolving issues to keep delivery on track
- Taking ownership of site operations, including subcontractors, direct labour, materials and resources
- Maintaining the highest standards of health and safety, compliance and site housekeeping
- Driving build quality from groundworks through to completion and handover
- Leading and coordinating the site team and subcontractors, setting clear expectations and high standards
- Working closely with Construction, Technical, Commercial, Sales and Customer Service to ensure a seamless delivery
- Supporting the customer journey through choices, extras, inspections and handovers
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in residential housebuilding, ideally with experience delivering high-specification or premium developments. You’ll have:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within residential housebuilding
- A strong track record of delivering quality developments from start to finish
- Excellent organisational, leadership and problem-solving skills
- The confidence to take full ownership of a site and drive delivery
- A thorough understanding of health and safety legislation and best practice
- The ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- SMSTS
- First Aid at Work
- NVQ Level 5/6 or equivalent construction qualification
