We are now seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our Construction team and take ownership of the successful delivery of multiple premium residential developments across Surrey, West Sussex, and Hampshire. This is a senior leadership role within a well-established, collaborative, and design-led business, where quality is held to the highest standard and every detail is considered.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Project Leadership — Define site strategy including logistics, compound planning, and critical path management, identifying and mitigating risks to programme early
  • Programme Delivery — Develop and manage build programmes, ensuring alignment across Construction, Commercial, and Sales teams
  • Quality Assurance — Work closely with the quality control team to ensure every development meets Shanly Homes' exacting standards
  • Cost Control — Partner with the Commercial team to monitor expenditure, manage variations, and keep developments within budget
  • Health, Safety & Compliance — Maintain full compliance with relevant legislation and company standards across all sites
  • Team Leadership — Provide clear direction and support to site teams, driving performance and contributing to recruitment and retention

What you’ll bring

  • Experience of delivering high-specification residential developments is essential.
  • Proven experience with a residential housebuilder, with a track record of delivering multiple high-quality housing schemes
  • Strong working knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice
  • Confident ability to read and interpret construction drawings
  • SMSTS qualification (essential)
  • Construction-related degree or NVQ Level 5/6, or equivalent experience
