Family run ladies and children outerwear businesses is looking for a tech with five years plus experience within the industry. Experience in ladies’ outerwear industry would be an advantage in this job role but not essential. We are looking for someone willing to travel, with 3-5 years experience. Able to work under their own initiative and solve problems. Be technical minded and understand garment construction and basic pattern cutting.
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Junior Garment Technologist located in Camden Town. The Junior Garment Technologist will be responsible for tasks such as garment construction, quality control, and fittings. Day-to-day tasks include:
- Working closely with the design team to ensure the correct construction of garments
- Performing quality checks on samples and final products
- Attending fit sessions to provide technical support
- Maintaining clear communication with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure the highest quality standards are met
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Garment Construction and Fitting
- Experience in Quality Control in the textiles or fashion industry
- Excellent Communication skills
- Knowledge of Textiles and fabric properties
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Technology, Textile Engineering, or a related field
