As our Sales Manager, we rely on you to:
- Assist and work hand-in-hand with our Commercial Sales Team to oversee and be responsible for the day-to-day sales effort of the Sales Department.
- Develop and implement an annual sales activity plan with measurable targets and achieve budgeted revenue under the guidance and supervision of the Director of Sales.
- Be responsible for the conversion of groups with rooms under the general guidance and supervision of the Director of Sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement sales action plans for designated market areas as outlined in the marketing plan.
- Manage accounts effectively and provide regular updates to the Director of Sales.
- Conduct daily sales calls and arrange familiarization/site inspection visits for corporate clients.
- Aggressively source new business opportunities through scheduled sales visits to key corporate accounts.
- Maintain consistent follow-up on all business leads, assigned projects, and duties, and report progress to the Director of Sales.
- Demonstrate strong negotiation skills to maximize profit across all revenue-generating areas.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Tourism, Hospitality, or Hotel Management.
- Has a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Is a strong team player.
- Has a can-do attitude.
- Enjoys crafting creative and best-fit solutions for business partners and customers.
- Thinks outside of the box whilst leading change in the hotel.
- Understands the global markets and local environment.
- Is effective bi-lingual in English & Malay in both written and verbal communication.
- Has relevant experience of handling corporate and wholesales.
- Possesses computer skills including Microsoft Word & Excel.
- Has strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Is able to engage in a friendly and professional manner with business partners and customers.
