As an Assistant Financial Controller, you will lead our Finance Department to ensure seamless operations and full compliance with all adopted policies, procedures, and Shangri-La standards. You will serve as a strategic guardian of the hotel’s assets while fostering a culture of excellence and precision.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing the day-to-day operation of the Accounting office.
- Financial analysis and financial reporting, budgeting/forecasting, audit and control, asset and liability reconciliation, working capital and cash control.
- Generating and providing accurate and timely results.
- Ensuring that the P&L Accounts are accurate.
- Submitting reports in a timely manner, ensuring delivery deadlines.
- Providing direction and assistance to other organizational units regarding budgeting and accounting policies and procedures and efficient control and utilization of financial resources.
- Supporting a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets, improve operations and profitability and manage business risks.
- Ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Ensuring account balances are supported by appropriate documentation in accordance with SOPs.
- Demonstrating knowledge of job-relevant issues, systems and processes.
- Keeping up to date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
- Leveraging centralized accounting processes and shared services.
- Reviewing audit issues and making corrections as necessary.

- Has a degree in Finance and Accounting or Professional Accounting Qualification.
- Has relevant working experience.
- Is a motivator and a self-starter.
- Is committed to professional values.
- Has good knowledge of personal computing.
- Has the ability to work independently.
